Backpacks for Nursery and Preschool

A compact children’s backpack can provide space for selected daily essentials such as a snack container, small water bottle, spare clothing or a favourite comfort item.

Before ordering, check the backpack’s external dimensions, internal space and empty weight. Confirm that the items normally required by the nursery or preschool will fit without overfilling the main compartment.

Not every compact backpack is large enough for A4 folders, full-sized schoolbooks, sports equipment or larger lunch containers.

Choosing the Correct Backpack Size

A backpack should be proportionate to the child rather than selected only according to age.

Review:

A water-repellent finish can help protect against light moisture but does not necessarily make a backpack waterproof. Do not assume that the contents will remain dry during heavy or prolonged rain unless the manufacturer expressly describes and tests the product as waterproof.
