Kids’ Lunch Boxes, Thermal Bags & Food Jars
Pack food for school, nursery, family outings and everyday activities with Gravitaly’s collection of children’s lunch boxes, thermal lunch bags and insulated food jars.
The collection includes different solutions for carrying sandwiches, snacks, fruit and prepared meals. Because each product type serves a different purpose, compare its capacity, dimensions, materials, closure, insulation and cleaning requirements before ordering.
Stainless-Steel Lunch Boxes for Kids
Stainless-steel lunch boxes provide a reusable container for sandwiches, fruit, snacks and other suitable foods. Available models may include a fixed divider to separate different parts of the meal.
Check whether the divider is fixed or removable and whether the individual sections are sealed from one another. A divided lunch box does not necessarily prevent liquids or sauces from moving between compartments.
Before placing the box inside a school bag, confirm whether the manufacturer describes the specific model as leakproof and which types of food it is designed to hold.
Thermal Lunch Bags
A thermal lunch bag is designed to carry a separate lunch box, snack container, bottle or packaged food. It should not normally be used as a direct food-contact container unless the manufacturer expressly permits this.
Available models may include an insulated lining, carrying handle, zip closure, name label or additional external pocket. Compare the internal dimensions with the containers and bottle the child will use.
Thermal bags can help slow temperature change, but they do not replace refrigeration. Follow food-safety guidance for perishable ingredients and use suitable cooling packs when required.
Insulated Food Jars
Insulated food jars can be used for suitable warm or cold meals when permitted by the manufacturer. Available models may differ in capacity, opening width, lid construction and temperature-retention performance.
Check the manufacturer’s instructions for:
- permitted food temperatures;
- preheating or precooling the container;
- maximum filling level;
- recommended storage duration;
- pressure and steam precautions;
- cleaning and drying requirements.
An adult should check the food temperature before giving warm food to a child.
Choosing the Right Lunch Container
Consider the type and quantity of food being packed, how long it will be carried and whether the child can comfortably open and close the container.
Review:
- total and usable capacity;
- external dimensions and empty weight;
- size when packed inside the school bag;
- number and type of compartments;
- closure and sealing system;
- insulation, where applicable;
- compatibility with hot, cold or liquid foods;
- child’s ability to carry and operate it;
- cleaning and drying requirements.
The official age recommendation does not replace the need to check the child’s individual ability to use the product safely.
Food Contact and Cleaning
Only place food directly inside components identified as suitable for food contact. Wash food-contact surfaces before first use and after every use, following the instructions for the exact material.
Pay particular attention to lids, seals, hinges, corners, dividers and threaded areas where food residue or moisture may collect. Allow every component to dry completely before closing or storing it.
Textile thermal bags may require wiping or spot cleaning rather than machine washing. Do not immerse insulated components unless the manufacturer expressly permits it.
What to Check Before Ordering
Review the individual product page for:
- product type and intended use;
- capacity and dimensions;
- food-contact materials;
- included compartments and accessories;
- leak-resistance information;
- thermal or insulated construction;
- permitted foods and temperatures;
- microwave, freezer and dishwasher compatibility;
- official age recommendation;
- cleaning and storage instructions;
- manufacturer warnings.
Product-specific instructions always take priority over general collection guidance.
