Natural Wooden Turtle Dove Rattle by Wooden Story

A gentle first toy inspired by the quiet sounds of nature.

The Turtle Dove Wooden Rattle by Wooden Story is a beautifully simple sensory toy designed to delight little hands with natural textures, movement and a soft, pleasant sound. Inspired by birdsong, its understated wooden construction turns every roll, shake and turn into a calm sensory experience.

Created from a combination of three types of wood, the rattle produces its own distinctive sound as the wooden elements move inside the frame. Babies can explore it by holding, turning and rolling it, discovering how their movements create sound and motion.

Why Babies Love It

The smooth wooden surface, natural variation in colour and gentle internal movement offer several ways to explore with the senses.

As the rattle is turned or rolled, the wooden pieces inside create a subtle sound that rewards movement and invites repetition. Its compact shape is easy to explore with little hands, making it a lovely companion during floor play and everyday sensory discovery.

Why Parents Love It

There is no plastic noise, flashing light or electronic distraction — only natural materials and beautifully simple play.

Wooden Story makes the Turtle Dove using wood from FSC-certified suppliers and preserves the natural colours of the different woods rather than covering them with bright synthetic finishes. The surface is finished with beeswax and vegetable oils, creating a smooth and pleasant tactile feel.

The toy is also packaged in recyclable cardboard, making it a thoughtful choice for families who appreciate natural materials and timeless design.

Three Woods, One Gentle Sound

The character of the Turtle Dove comes from its combination of three different types of wood.

Their natural differences create subtle variation in tone, texture and colour, while the wooden elements inside produce a distinctive sound when the toy is moved.

The result is a beautifully restrained sensory toy that encourages children to listen, touch, turn, roll and explore at their own pace.

Here is an inspiring brand story for Wooden Story, adapted for an English-language online store:

Wooden Story: Toys Born in the Forest and Made for Generations

In a world full of plastic and fleeting trends, Wooden Story brings back the magic of genuine, timeless things. These aren't just children's toys—they are small works of art carrying the scent of nature and the warmth of human hands.

From the Heart of the Mountains

The story of Wooden Story begins in the picturesque Beskidy Mountains in Poland. There, surrounded by ancient forests, one family has turned their love for wood into a tradition passed down from generation to generation since 1969. For the brand's creators, wood isn't just a raw material—it's a living, breathing substance full of stories just waiting to be told through children's play.

Uncompromising Purity and Respect for Nature

The philosophy of Wooden Story is deeply rooted in environmental responsibility and children's health:

• Sustainable Origins: Only carefully selected wood from FSC-certified suppliers is used, ensuring the preservation of forests.

• Natural Processing: There is no room for toxic paints and varnishes in their production. Every toy is hand-polished and finished solely with natural beeswax and botanical oils.

• Safety and Sensory Experience: The natural finish makes the surfaces silky smooth to the touch. The toys are completely safe for the little ones to "taste" and possess that distinct, soothing aroma of real wood.

Toys with a Soul, Built to Last

The brand's motto is: "Toys that come from the forest, smell of wood, and in which you can still hear the sound of the wind."

Their minimalist design doesn't impose ready-made play scenarios but leaves room for what matters most—children's imagination. The wooden blocks, figures, and cars develop creativity and fine motor skills while connecting children with the natural world.

However, the most valuable quality of Wooden Story is their longevity. These are not toys for a single season. They are crafted to stand the test of time, gather memories, and one day be passed down from today's children to their own children.

The Mission of Wooden Story: To gift children pure, unadulterated joy, and parents the peace of mind that they are choosing the safest, most eco-friendly, and beautiful start for their family.
